
Our college lecturer Bahar İnal, from the Department of German Language and Literature at Hacettepe University, gave a seminar titled "Two Portraits in Late Nineteenth-Century Germany: Franz Kafka and Thomas Mann." The seminar consisted of four sections: the first section covered Weimar Culture and German Expressionism; the second section addressed political stance in Kafka and Mann; the third section explored Romantic thought in Kafka and Mann; and the fourth section examined the concept of illness and the sanatorium as a space in Kafka and Mann.
