The fourth annual International Culture Day event was held at Ondokuz Mayıs University School of Foreign Languages with the participation of students from the German, French, and English preparatory classes. The event began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by an opening speech by the Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Ekmekçi. In his opening speech, Ekmekçi said: "Welcome, everyone, to the fourth ‘International Culture Day’ event organized by the School of Foreign Languages this year. We are delighted to be gathered here today in a colorful and rich environment where different cultures meet. Culture is the common heritage of humanity, and each of us is a part of this heritage. Our world, filled with different languages, traditions, music, and flavors, constantly offers us opportunities to learn and discover. The ‘International Culture Day’ event is one such opportunity. Today, our students from various countries have made a great effort to introduce their cultures. Each of them is eager to present the most beautiful aspects of their culture to you. Their efforts will help us embrace our differences and better understand our world. Cultural diversity strengthens our social bonds and teaches us tolerance, respect, and empathy. Celebrating our differences reminds us that we are all part of a whole. By coming together here today, we are keeping these values alive and nurturing our hopes for the future.
